Problem: B Online and Sensational were tasked with finding a way to automate the manual system of assigning contractors to specific insurance claims, managing the insurance claims on a job to job basis, and aggregating data from multiple sources- relating to their payments, historic property data, and agency-to-contractor relationships.
We aimed to modernise their systems allowing for technology to do the heavy lifting which would allow this leading international insurance group to focus on their business needs rather than administrative headaches.
Solution: The solution for the above problem involved deeply understanding the client’s current processes – including the internal procedure for processing a claim, understanding the relationships between contractors and agencies, assigning a contractor, payments, and final closure of a job.
State charts were then drawn out to depict this process in a process flow that could be implemented in code. The State Machine pattern was utilised to code out business rules into maintainable code.
Due to the vast amounts of data points that Leading International Insurance Group has we had to develop a system for communicating any updates that would occur on our side to allow for all the data resources to remain in sync and to have truth across all data.
As the usage of the system grows internally we are constantly finding new ways for Leading International Insurance Group to innovate internally through technology. We are constantly solving new and more complex problems.
A number of sophisticated tech was utilised to develop the system, namely – Webpack, React JSX, Caravel, Gulp, Cyprus and more.
